Currency Wars and The Lost Left

American Metanoia

The Greeks this week were almost able to thumb their collective noses at the IMF and the Eurozone banks, and not pay back the debts on the loans that have been killing them. Iceland did it after the collapse and they are doing fine. Greece was in good shape before the Eurozone creeped in with the IMF "economic hit men." (For clarification on this check out John Perkins' book: Confessions of an Economic Hitman. In it, he explains the situation in Greece quite clearly and why it happened... he was there.)

The Eurozone destroyed Greece. And what is happening there is what has been happening here in the US. It's just that most Americans don't know that we've been had, and are not making the connection.

For the debt that was forced upon them, Greece had to sell many of its profitable assets to oligarchs and international corporations. Privatizations are ruthless, involving everything and anything that is profitable. In Greece, privatization included water, electricity, post offices, airport services, national banks, telecommunication, port authorities (which is huge in a country that is a world leader in shipping), etc.

In addition to that, the banker tyrants also get to dictate every single line item in the government’s budget. Want to cut military spending? No! Want to raise tax on the oligarchs or big corporations? No! Such micro-management is non-existent in any other creditor-debtor relationship.

But much sooner than later, as the Euro deflates into oblivion, the petrodollar and the dollar as a currency will also deflate into oblivion. None of this was inevitable nor did it happen by accident. There is a nasty game afoot and as currencies implode in this world currency war, a war which saw the absolute obliteration of the country once known as Libya—not because of any "terrorism" (the constant lie) but—because of its plans to create its own independent central bank with a pan-African currency known as the gold-backed Dinar (Goodbye and good riddance, Hillary). The only corporate banking entity capable of producing a world currency that will hold economies together (if even only temporarily) is the International Monetary Fund which in its role as the central bank of the world has its own printing presses just like any other central bank.

With these presses, it can print what are called "special drawing rights" (a form of international money, defined as a weighted average of various convertible currencies) which are a paper fiat currency. As of July 2, 2015, the last day information was available due to the holiday weekend, the value of an SDR was about $1.40 US (in relation to a "basket" of currencies and rounded off from six digits.) It almost makes them seem desirable.

The IMF is a US construct and through it, the US empire with Israel as its front man in the Middle East (and elsewhere), and its cabal of cronies in other key

countries, will attempt to control the world currency and, by default, all economies, and therefore their governments, and finally, yes, the populations. Of course there will be tremendous blowback from all of this as history has shown us there always is, and the world may become a very unpleasant place to be for a while, as the total intent of this psychopathically envisioned goal fails miserably.

Control over resources and currencies, and the quelling of the peoples' voices and actions to fight tyranny, are the most important ingredients in establishing and maintaining a world empire. A well developed military and imperialist wars are the means to achieve these ends. In his lauded and much quoted book 'The Grand Chessboard: American Primacy and Its Geostrategic Imperatives,' Zbigniew Brzezinski, the godfather of US policies from Afghanistan to the present day, writes that if America is to control Eurasia and dominate the world, it cannot sustain a popular democracy, because “the pursuit of power is not a goal that commands popular passion... Democracy is inimical to imperial mobilisation.”

He is absolutely right. So hello Obama's "National Defense Authorization Act" and his "Trans-Pacific Partnership" trade agreement (yeah right) and adios to the last vestiges of Democracy.

Keep in mind that Brzezinski was not working for neo-conservative fascists like George Bush, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld. He was counselor to Democrat Lyndon B. Johnson, and National Security Advisor under Democrat and "peace maker" Jimmy Carter, and a lot more right up into today. He was one of the policy designers that created the Afghan mujahideen, which morphed into Al Qaeda, which morphed into ISIS, all supported by the US, Israel, the UK, Saudi Arabia, and now a few more key players and who, even with all of the blowback being experienced by this lunacy, are still supporting them. Brzezinski was essentially the Democrats' "Henry Kissinger" and just as vicious, if not more so.

It is hard for me to accept that there are tens of millions of Americans who still naively believe that all we need to do is get a good Democrat into the presidency, and then like Sam Cooke wrote and sang in his 1960 hit tune.... "what a wonderful world this would be."

Sorry, life just isn't this simplistic. I think these good-hearted but naive folks need to firstly... read a good book (or eight), starting with credible history; secondly... grow up; and thirdly... do it fast.

He is also a teacher and scholar whose knowledge well surpasses the realms of music and art, although these would be enough.
